About Rainer

Rainer S. 212x300 Rainer Schrom Partners For ArchitectureRainer was born in 1970 in Ingolstadt, Bavaria, Southern Germany. After finishing High School 1989 he headed for Vienna, Austria to attend University. Rainer earned his Dipl.Ing.arch (Masters Degree in Architecture) at the School of Architecture & Urban Planning of the University of Technology in Vienna, 1998, where he also had a three year tutorial mandate for visual presentation and rendering.

Rainer won the 1st prize in the International Competition for Timber Structures, Austria in 1995 and was short listed in a
national competition for Zero-Energy Buildings in 1997. Rainer moved to the United States in 1998, and currently lives in Fairfield, Connecticut.

Besides practicing Architecture, Rainer has a passion for music, science theory, philosophy, traveling, sailing, gardening, and he is a passionate hobby cook and baker.

In 2000 Rainer joined his colleague, Stephen, to establish an Architectural Firm in Stamford, Connecticut: Partners for Architecture Inc. In 2004, Rainer became a LEED accredited professional and earned his US Architect License & Registration. Rainer is a member of the AIA (American Institute of Architects), he is NCARB certified and is a licensed Architect in NY and CT.
