About Stephen

Stephen G. 214x300 Stephen Grasso Partners For ArchitectureStephen is a second generation architect and was born in 1966 in the Bronx, New York. He earned his Bachelors of Environmental Design at the University at Buffalo, NY and went on to receive his B. Arch. at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, New York.

Stephen began his career in NYC at Wechsler, Grasso, Menziuso Architects. In 1994, he moved on to Helpern Architects
in NYC, where he completed noted projects such as the Soho Grand Hotel and the environmentally-conscious Congo Gorilla Forest and Education Center at the Bronx Zoo.

In 1997, Stephen took a sabbatical from his position and he, his wife and son moved to Florence, Italy for a year. Upon returning to the U.S. in 1998, Stephen took a position as Project Architect for a 500,000 SF corporate headquarters for Hewitt Associates in Norwalk, CT. Upon completion of the project in 2000, he co-founded Partners for Architecture in Stamford, CT and the firm has grown and thrived since then.

Stephen has a passion for cooking, music, carpentry, philosophy and traveling. Stephen is licensed as an Architect in FL, CT, NY, NJ, PA, and Massachusetts.
He is a member of N.C.A.R.B. and is one of the two Principals of Partners for Architecture, Inc.
