This 90,000 SF K-12 School, features a state of the art gym, Black box theater, in addition to the 32 classrooms and science labs. This complex project, involved a NYC Board of Standards & Appeals Special Permit, as well as brown site remediation, and the use of over 250 piles for proper foundation support. We also dealt with an expedited completion timeline, which was successfully met by utilizing off-site pre-fab modules and on-site construction assemblies, as well as lots of team know-how to expedite the NYC DOB process.
The site is located in a flood zone, which led to the development of a completely flood proof garage and the first floor completely above the Base Flood Elevation.
